A migrant group has also demanded the recall of products labeled with the image of the Hindu goddess.

The image of a Hindu goddess on the bottles of Bien Manger beer has drawn criticism from the Hindu community, calling the label insensitive and disrespectful.

“This is extremely insensitive, disrespectful and hurtful to Hindus. Hindu goddess of worship is being used on your beer bottles,” a Twitter account named Insight UK said in a post tagging Bien Manger.

The group has also demanded the recall of products labeled with the image of the Hindu goddess.

The tweet created an uproar and many users condemned the company.

A Twitter user said that the posters should be withdrawn immediately and demanded an inquiry into how the decision was taken.

However, this is not the first time that a liquor company has used a picture of a Hindu deity on its product.

Earlier in 2021, Brasserie du Goblet, a French brewery based in Grenade-sur-Garonne in France, was tipped to launch “Shiva Beer”. “Shiva Beer”, referred to as a “hoppy beer”, was launched in 2018 under the “Taste, Enjoy, Be Delighted!” Made with the tagline.

In 2018, a Hindu organization criticized a Derbyshire brewery for using an image of the goddess Kali on one of its beer bottles. The brewery eventually stopped producing beer.
