Fuel prices increased for the seventh consecutive day, petrol in Delhi crossed Rs 110

Amid a spurt in fuel prices in several states, prices increased for the seventh consecutive day across the country on Tuesday. With the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 0.35 in Delhi, their prices today increased to Rs 110.04 and Rs 98.42 per liter respectively. In the country’s financial capital Mumbai, the prices of petrol and diesel increased to Rs 115.85 per liter and Rs 106.62 per liter respectively.

The price of petrol and diesel has gone up to Rs 110.49 and Rs 101.56 per liter respectively in Kolkata, West Bengal and Rs 106.66 and Rs 102.59 per liter respectively in Chennai.

Meanwhile, the central government is in talks with many oil exporting countries on the issue of supply and demand of oil, but there is no possibility of immediate relief in prices.

Earlier, a source told news agency ANI that the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas had recently raised concerns over the issue of prices, supply and demand for oils for major oil producing countries.

“As crude oil prices rise internationally, the Ministry of Petroleum has called on the energy ministries of several countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Russia and others,” the source said.
