From Postponed Practicals to Take-Home Pre-Board, How Board Exams Changed in 2022

With the spike in Covid-19 cases, several state boards, as well as CBSE and CISCE, are contemplating when and how to conduct the Class 10, 12 board exams 2022. Last year, almost all the boards had to cancel their exams, so some boards decided to split the examinations into two parts for this academic year. From Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan, here’s the latest status of Board Exam 2022:

Rajasthan Board

Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has postponed the practical exam for class 12 board due to increase in COVID-19 cases across the state. The exam was scheduled to start from January 17. Rajasthan Education Minister Bulaki Das Kalla said that Decision to postpone the examination was taken after 25 districts The state was marked in the red zone for COVID-19 infection. The decision regarding the new practical exam dates will be taken after the review meeting in February.

If the situation of Kovid-19 does not turn out to be favorable, the board exams of class 10 and 12 of RBSE may also get affected. The board exams are going to start from March 3. More than 20 lakh students are enrolled in class 10 and 12 of Rajasthan Board.

Madhya Pradesh Board

MPBSE has scheduled board exams 2022 from February 12 and pre-boards from January 20 Pre-board exams, however, have been shifted Take-home mode in which students will have to sit in their respective homes and take the exam.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also announced closure of classes 1 to 12 in government and private schools in the state. Schools have opted for online classes.

CBSE

Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) The sample papers for the duration of the second board exam have already been released. The examinations are likely to be held in March-April, however, earlier the board had said that the second session would be conducted only when the situation of Covid-19 improves. The final results will be based on two conditions, internal assessment and practical examination.

CISCE

Like CBSE, CISCE has already conducted the Term I exams and the second semester will be conducted only when the COVID-19 situation gets better. After that the final results will be prepared but if Semester II is not conducted, the final result will be on the basis of Semester I, internal assessment and practical examination.

Bihar Board

Bihar Board Intermediate and Matric board exams are scheduled To be held from 1st February. Bihar Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary has said that the examinations will be conducted as per the schedule following speculations about the postponement of the examinations. More than 30 lakh students have registered for the exam this year.

Uttar Pradesh Board

The UP Board is likely to conduct the exam in 2022 after the elections to be held in February. So, students can expect the exam to start in March. The practical exams of class 10th and 12th students are likely to be held in the third week of February.

West Bengal Board

After several WBBSE and WBCHSE board members got infected with COVID-19, Preparation for secondary and higher secondary examination has been done interrupted. Officials said that if the number of Covid-19 cases increases, it will be very difficult for the board to conduct the exam. Class 10 exams are scheduled to be held in March while class 12 exams are to be held in April.
