Four killed, 7 injured as cab rolls on road in Poonch – Kashmir Reader

Poonch: Four people died while seven are in critical condition after a cab rolled over the road in Saujian Valley of Poonch.

Officials said a Tata Sumo (JK14A-3699) rolled down the road at Barari Nallah in Soujian village.

“One person died on the spot, while 10 others were injured. All were shifted from the accident spot to sub district hospital Soujian,” officials said, adding that one of the injured succumbed to his injuries at SDH Mandi.

Later, eight injured were referred to the District Hospital Poonch, where two more succumbed to their injuries, taking the death toll to four.
He said seven passengers were injured, most of them in critical condition.

Deputy SP Headquarters Poonch Mohammad Nawaz said that this painful accident happened when the cab fell from a height on Saujiyan Road. He confirmed the deaths of four people.

The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Sadiq (52) son Ali Bahadur resident Gagarian, Shabana Kausar (10) daughter Mehraj Deen, Munira Begum (32) wife Ghulam Rasool and Abdul Ahad (61) son Ahmada Lone.

The injured include Mohammad Ibrahim (34) son Ghulam Rasool, Ghulam Rasool (32) son Mohammad Majeed, Sajjad Ahmed (29) son Mohammad Shafi, Zeeshan Ahmed (27) son Mumtaz Ahmed, Sarba Begum (52). Abdul Ahad, Habibullah (56) son of Ahmed Lone and Laykit Ali (22) son of Shaukat Hussain- (KNO)
