Four Associates of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Arrested in Punjab’s Rupnagar

A senior police officer said on Monday that four associates of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been arrested in Punjab’s Rupnagar district.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Rupnagar) Vivek Sheel Soni said three pistols and 22 live cartridges were recovered from their possession.

He said that based on a tip-off, a police team led by Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Manvinderbir Singh arrested Kuldeep Singh Curry, Kulwinder Singh Tinka, Satveer Singh Shammi and Beant Singh on Saturday.

The SSP said that all the four accused are associated with the Bishnoi gang.

A case of attempt to murder was registered against Curry, Tinka and Shammi in Ludhiana last month, police said.

A case has been registered against the accused at a police station in Morinda under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act, Soni said, adding further investigation is underway.
