Former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop finds ‘ideal way to spend a day’ in Multan

West Indies players in the three-match ODI series were not only a threat to Pakistani cricketers as the deadly heat also proved to be a disastrous consequence for the Caribbeans. Unbearable weather conditions appeared to be such a fatal problem that even the match timings had to be postponed to reduce the effect of the heat on players and commentators. The rise in temperature also shattered former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop’s plans to explore the city of Multan.

And former Pakistan cricketer Bajid Khan appeared as the bishop’s savior. Bajid advised the bishop not to go out because of the unbearable heat. And in a video posted by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Bajid can be seen offering solutions to Bishop’s plans to explore Pakistan.

In the video, Bajid is found with three baskets of mangoes for the former West Indies fast bowler. The former Pakistan cricketer brought three types of mangoes- Safed Chaunsa, Sindhi Chaunsa and Dasheri and after tasting those bishops considered each type of taste.

The PCB had posted a video of the light-hearted conversation on Twitter. It was captioned as, “Ideal way to spend a holiday. Bajid Khan as Ian Bishop plays the host, savoring the famous mangoes of Multan. Who’s your favorite?”

Fans and followers of the game loved the gesture as they expressed their happiness in the comments section.

One fan wrote, ‘Very good. The best clips of the place and culture by the media team. keep doing good work.”

While another experiment wrote, “It’s really beautiful.”

Bishop also shared the tweet posted by the PCB, as he captioned it, “Yum Yum” along with three emoji.

Bishop found a memorable way to explore the city of Multan, but it turned out to be a terrible outing in the ODI series for the West Indies cricket team. The visitors suffered a humiliating whitewash after losing all three matches.

On Sunday, West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran took four wickets to restrict the hosts to 269/9 in 48 overs (D/L method). But Pooran’s scintillating bowling spell became irrelevant as his team was bundled out for just 216 runs in 37.2 overs.
