Former UP Home Minister Rajendra Tripathi from Congress joins BJP

Leaders of Congress, BSP, SP and RLD, including former Home Minister Rajendra Tripathi, joined the BJP here on Friday.

According to BJP’s state co-media in-charge Himanshu Dubey, former home minister and three-time Prayagraj MLA Rajendra Tripathi left the Congress and joined the BJP at an event held at the latter’s headquarters here.

Dubey said former BSP MLA Krishnapal Singh Rajput (Jhansi), RLD’s Muni Dev Sharma (Bijnor), BSP’s Veer Singh Prajapati (Bulandshahr) and SP’s founding member Kunwar Balbir Singh Chouhan joined the party on Friday. He said that retired IPS officer Gurbachan Lal has also been inducted into the BJP.

He said that while joining the leaders expressed confidence in the nationalist policies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
