Former India ladies’s cricket staff coach and retired India opener WV Raman has been named because the batting marketing consultant of the Bengal Ranji staff for the upcoming season.
Raman will probably be joined by former Bengal captain Laxmi Ratan Shukla, who has been appointed because the staff’s new coach.
The choice was taken by the Cricket Affiliation of Bengal (CAB) after Arun Lal tendered his resignation following Bengal’s semi-final loss to Madhya Pradesh within the Ranji Trophy.
