Former Haryana Chief Minister Omprakash Chautala was eagerly waiting for his 12th result today. Chautala, like himself in class 10, was expected to pass with good marks in class 12 but the board dashed his hopes. Haryana Open Board withheld Omprakash Chautala’s result saying that he has not given English paper in class 10th which is mandatory for 12th pass.

In fact, Omprakash Chautala had passed 10th class after studying from Tihar Jail during his sentence in the JBT recruitment scam. Chautala, at the age of 82, cleared his class 10th examination from NIOS (National Institute of Open School) in 2017 securing 53.40% marks in Urdu, Science, Social Studies and Indian Culture and Heritage subjects.

Result stuck due to Urdu subject instead of Hindi-English

According to the information, Omprakash Chautala had Urdu as a language subject in class 10th. This time Omprakash Chautala had applied for class 12th from Haryana Open instead of National Open. According to the rules of Haryana Board, it is mandatory for the candidate to pass in Hindi or English subject, but Chautala did not have any of these two subjects. Now to pass 12th from Haryana Board, Chautala will have to pass the examination in one of these two subjects. Omprakash Chautala has another way for 12th pass to take the exam from National Open instead of Haryana Open, but for this he will have to wait for a year.
