Vadodara: The forest department has intensified patrolling and is tracking a leopard that attacked a 60-year-old woman living in Chhaparwad village of Singwad taluka of Dahod district on Wednesday.
The incident took place when the elderly woman was sleeping outside her house. early Wednesday morning. Bhurki Bhabhor is a resident of village Ranipura, but had come to Chhaparwad to spend time with her relatives.
The leopard bit him on his right elbow and hand. Initially, he was taken to the referral hospital for treatment. As his wounds were deep, he was referred to the Godhra Civil Hospital.
Forest department officials were also informed by the villagers and rushed to the area to trace the leopard. Patrolling has also been intensified to find out whether the leopard is still present in the area. No attack was reported in the vicinity before or after the incident.
