Forbes released the list of billionaires of India! With a combined wealth of $167.5 billion, Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani occupied the top two spots, ranking as India’s top richest riches.
Ambani was ranked 10th on the Forbes global list this year, followed by industrialist Adani with a close cut. Ambani’s net worth was estimated at $90.7 billion.
Here are the top 10 richest Indians in the Forbes India Billionaires list 2022:
1. Mukesh Ambani
Reliance Industries Chairperson Mukesh Ambani retained his post As the richest man in Asia and the tenth richest in the world. His net worth is $90.7 billion.
2. Gautam Adani and family
Founder of Asia’s second richest and India’s top multinational conglomerate company, Adani’s net worth is $90 billion, He currently ranks as the 11th richest person in the world.
3. Shiv Nadar
Nadar is the founder of HCL Technologies, and is ranked 47th in the world as of Rochest. His net worth is $28.7 billion.
4. Cyrus Poonawalla
Poonawalla is the founder of Serum Institute of India, which manufactured India’s COVID-19 vaccine, Covishield. This doubled his wealth by 22 per cent. Poonawalla’s wealth is estimated at $24.3 billion. He is currently ranked 56th in the world.
5. Radhakishan Damani
Damani is the man behind Avenue Supermarket which operates D-Marts across India. His net worth is $20 billion. He is ranked 81 in the world.
6. Lakshmi Mittal
Lakshmi is the chairman of ArcelorMittal, now the world’s largest steel and mining production company. He is ranked 89th in the world.
7. Savitri Jindal and Family
The only woman on this list, Savitri, is the brains behind the OP Jindal Group, a steel and power conglomerate. She has a net worth of $17.9 billion, and is ranked 91st in the world, and is one of 13 Indian women on the list of billionaires.
8. Kumar Birla
Birla is the chairman of Aditya Birla Group, a multinational conglomerate company. Kumar is ranked 109th in the world and has a net worth of $16.5 billion.
9. Dilip Shanghvi
The man behind Sun Pharmaceuticals, one of the world’s largest pharma companies, Sanghvi is ranked 115th in the world. His net worth is $15.6 billion.
10. Shining Box
The chairman of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Uday Kotak is ranked 129th in the world and has a net worth of $14.3 billion.
