For the first time, Procter & Gamble names Indian as global COO – Times of India

Chennai/Mumbai: Shailesh Jejurikar Has become the first Indian to be appointed global chirp Consumer products of the multinational company Procter & Gamble (P&G). Mumbai-born Jejurikar, 54, is an alumnus of Hyderabad Public School and counts another renowned global CEO among his classmates – Truth Microsoft’s Nadella.
Jejurikar is not the only one living in the corner room in his family. Elder brother Rajesh is the Executive Director of Mahindra & Mahindra and also has a background in FMCG. Rajesh Jejurica said, “It is a matter of pride for all of us to see Indians rising to the top notch of global organizations.”
Shailesh Jejurikar is one of the very few Indian-born global business leaders who do not have a degree abroad. He did his MBA from IIM Lucknow in 1989, soon after, he joined P&G India as Assistant Brand Manager (Personal Healthcare).

Jejurikar’s promotion was part of P&G’s declaration of leadership succession.
The Cincinnati-based company said that John R.
