Loksabha 2024: The Backward Classes, Dalits and Minority Minorities (PDA) will defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the Lok Sabha elections to be held next year. Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav.

During the NDTV Conclave in Lucknow, Akhilesh Yadav said, “BJP will lose all 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh if major national parties support us.”

Yadav insisted that he has always been of the view that seat-sharing should be decided considering which alliance partner is the strongest in a particular state.

Asked about the efforts being made to unite the united opposition, the Samajwadi Party chief said their only slogan was, “Assi harao, BJP hatao (Defeat the 80, remove the BJP).

“Uttar Pradesh has 80 Lok Sabha seats. The SP won only five in 2019 and lost two of them – Rampur and Azamgarh – to the BJP in bypolls.”

Talking about his party’s alliance with the Congress and the Bahujan Samaj Party in the 2017 assembly and 2019 general elections respectively, Yadav asserted that the Samajwadi Party has always been an honest and friendly alliance partner.

“Wherever the SP has been in alliance, you would not have heard us fighting for seats,” he said.

Yadav also targeted the BJP government in the state, alleging that it has failed to bring development while the law and order situation has deteriorated.
