Flip iPhone: Renders Show What a Foldable iPhone Could Look Like; 120Hz Display, Airchase Tech Hinted

The hype around foldable smartphones has increased tremendously, with foldable smartphones being touted as the next thing in the smartphone form factor. Earlier this year there were reports of it being foldable iPhone. And while there haven’t been any significant updates on the matter yet, the anticipation of a foldable iPhone has only grown over time. Now, a video of the concept iPhone on YouTube shows a render of what a clamshell-like foldable iPhone might look like. The video shows a “flipped iPhone” with a form factor similar to Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Which was launched last month.

The foldable iPhone renders are designed by Pranav Nathe, and are based on the iPhone 12 Pro design. The stainless steel frame and metallic body are visible in the renders. Taking cues from the rumors about the iPhone 13 series, the renders show a smaller notch on the Flip iPhone compared to the iPhone 12 series. The video shows the Flip iPhone in three colors – purple, gold and red (presumably Project Red). This flip shows the iPhone with a 120Hz Promotion Liquid Retina CDR display, and a foldable render with an in-display fingerprint scanner with FaceID as a secondary biometric authentication option. It also shows the Flip iPhone being powered by the M1 chip, and shows how multi-window can work on the foldable iPhone.
