The first cabinet expansion of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of Punjab will take place today at 5 pm. In which 5 new ministers will be sworn in at Raj Bhavan. In this the names of Aman Arora, Anmol Gagan Mann, Chetan Singh Jaudamajra, Dr. Inderbir Nijjar and Fauja Singh Sarari have been fixed.
At the same time, lobbying continued as soon as the names of 5 new ministers came out. Nina Mittal, MLA from Rajpura, Sarvjit Kaur Manuke, who became MLA for the second time from Jagraon, and Budhlada MLA Budhram started trying.
Initially 10 ministers took oath in the Punjab government. After which Health Minister Vijay Singla was sacked in the corruption case.
Why are these 5 MLAs being made ministers
Aman Arora: Sunam has become MLA for the second time. Won the last election with a bigger lead i.e. 75 thousand votes than CM Bhagwant Mann. He is a flamboyant speaker of the party. The pressure increased after losing the Lok Sabha by-election from Sangrur seat.
Precious Gagan Mann: Famous Punjabi singer. She has been the state vice-president of your youth wing. During the election campaign, ‘Kejriwal Anthem’ was sung. After becoming an MLA, she is working actively.
Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar: After winning the election, he was made a pro tem speaker. However, later Kultar Sandhwan became the speaker. At present, the Chief is the head of the Khalsa Diwan. Amritsar is an important center from the point of view of Sikh politics, hence preference is being given.
Chetan Singh Jodamajra: He became very famous after the election victory. 7 years daily wage in South Korea. When he returned, he once saved the girl from being kidnapped by playing on her life. However, the most important thing is to give representation to Patiala district in the government. Chetan is the MLA from Samana.
Fauja Singh Sarri: Retired Punjab Police Inspector Sarari is MLA from Gurharsahai in Border Area Firozpur. Hence being included in Govt. Sarri Rai belongs to the Sikh fraternity.
Oath was administered to 10 ministers, one sacked
After the cabinet expansion, apart from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, there will be 14 ministers in the AAP government. The government had initially administered oath to 10 ministers. Of these, Health Minister Dr. Vijay Singla has been dismissed in the corruption case. In Punjab, 18 ministers including the Chief Minister can be made.
3 ministers will be made near the Lok Sabha elections
The posts of 3 ministers will remain vacant in the Mann government. Aam Aadmi Party can keep them vacant till 2024. Then the Lok Sabha elections are to be held. In view of the political mathematics of that time, the entry of these new ministers will be made in the government.
