A sudden fire broke out in a private bus going towards Delhi in Etawah.

A sudden fire broke out in a moving private bus in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. Soon the whole bus turned into a ball of fire. The driver and conductor fled after seeing the bus engulfed in flames. Amidst the screaming, the passengers, not seeing anyone coming for help, saved their lives by jumping out of the windows themselves. There were 60 passengers on the bus. All are safe.

The accident took place in Jaswant Nagar, Etawah on the Agra-Kanpur highway. A sudden fire broke out in the bus around 2 pm in front of Sagar Dhaba near Sarai Bhupat railway crossing here. The bus was going towards Delhi carrying 60 passengers. The first spark was raised in the bus running on the road. Then slowly the fire started intensifying, so the driver stopped the bus on the side of the road. When the flames intensified, both the driver and conductor escaped leaving the passengers trapped in the bus.

The fire in the bus immediately took the entire bus under its control. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot, after which the fire brigade was called and the fire was brought under control. Police said that this private bus of Rajasthan number was going from Madaripur to Delhi via Kanpur. As the tire of the bus got hot, sparks came out which started the fire. However, the reason for this incident is not yet clear. No one was killed in the incident, but some people’s belongings were burnt to ashes.
