On the orders of the Gurugram court, the Badshahpur police station has registered a case of cheating in the case of booking a residential apartment on former international tennis player Maria Sharapova and renowned Formula One racer Michael Schumacher. Realtek Development and Infrastructure and developers have also been made party in this case. In this case, about 80 lakh rupees were cheated from the woman of Delhi.

He told that in 2013 he came to know through advertisements that a well-known project is being started in Sector-73 area of ​​Gurugram. It depicted the dream of building the luxury home of the dreams. Shafali Agarwal has booked a residential apartment of 3650 square meters in the project by the name of Sharapova Tower. One tower in the project was named after Schumacher. This project was to be completed in 6 years i.e. by 2019.

On March 16, 2013, a check of Rs 35 lakh was given. 28 lakh on 7 August 2013, 12 lakh on 10 August 2013 and then on 15 December 2013 another check of Rs 4 lakh 1 thousand 848 was given. A total amount of Rs 79 lakh 1 thousand 848 was given. Even after a long time, the work on the project did not start, so he wrote a letter on 6 January 2015 to Realtek Development and Infrastructure Company and the developers seeking money back. After this, 10 consecutive letters were sent through email and various means till 16 February 2016, but no response was received. In the meantime, he came to know that the company in whose name the project is being talked about has not acquired any land in this area. He accused international figures of being part of the fraud through his association and promoting it. It also accused Sharapova and Schumacher, as promoters of the project, of conspiring with buyers. After that he started fighting legal battle. Also complained to the police. On the orders of Gurugram court, Badshahpur police station has registered a case under sections 420, 406, 120B.

Tennis star also visited the site

Shafali told in the istagasa filed in the court that the project came to know through advertisements. Contacted company management after project photos and too many false promises were made. Sharapova and Schumacher, as promoters of the project, conspired with the buyers. Shafali alleged that the former tennis star had also visited the site and promised to open a tennis academy and sports store here. Not only this, had a dinner party with the buyers.
