Filmmaker Raj Kaushal, husband of Mandira Bedi, died of a heart attack on Tuesday. Director Onir, who worked with Kaushal in “My Brother… Nikhil”, confirmed his death on his official Twitter account. Sharing an old picture of Kaushal, Onir tweeted, “Gone too soon. We lost filmmaker and producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. This is a very sad thing. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of the few people who believed in our vision and supported us. Praying for his soul.”

Raj Kaushal was active during the late 90s and mid-2000. He had directed and produced films like Anthony Kaun Hai (2006), Shaadi Ka Laddoo (2004) and Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999). Two days back, Kaushal had shared a bunch of pictures from a party on his Instagram account. He was joined by Mandira, Zaheer Khan, Sagarika Ghatge, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi and Ashish Chowdhry.

Mandira Bedi and Kaushal tied the knot on February 14, 1999. Kaushal is survived by his wife, son Yug and daughter Tara, whom the couple adopted and introduced to the world in 2020.
