A tractor trolley full of devotees overturned on Monday night near village Nagla Har in Aunchha police station area of Mainpuri. Three pilgrims, including a six-year-old girl, died in the accident. While 20 people have been seriously injured. Tractor trolley riders were returning after offering Neja at Sheetla Devi temple in the city.
Sarvesh Singh, a resident of Kharit village of Firozabad, had come on Monday along with relatives and villagers to offer Neja to Sheetal Devi temple in Mainpuri city. On Monday night, all the people were returning after riding in two tractor trolleys.
At around nine o’clock in the night, the tractor trolley overturned uncontrollably near the Nagla Har waiting room in Aunchha area. Six-year-old Garima daughter Rajesh, 30-year-old Malti wife Pravesh and 16-year-old Ragini daughter Pramod Yadav died in the accident. There 20 people were injured. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
