Farmers Protest Live Updates: Security Arrangements Beefed Up

Following clashes between protesting farmers and the police at the Punjab-Haryana border on Tuesday, which marked the commencement of their prolonged demonstration, the Chalo Delhi march was temporarily halted for the night. Despite the pause, the protesters expressed their intention to resume their attempt to cross the border again today. Numerous farmers sustained injuries during the clashes, prompting the Punjab government to issue an alert to hospitals in Sangrur, Patiala, Dera Bassi, Mansa, and Bathinda. In an effort to prevent the farmers from crossing the border, Haryana police employed tear gas shells, utilizing drones for their dispersal. The confrontation also resulted in injuries to some police officers.
