Farmer leaders meeting with Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat in Ferozepur.

Farmers in Punjab have deferred a protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally in Ferozepur. In this regard, a meeting of farmer leaders was held with Union Minister Gajendra Shekhawat on Tuesday night. In which it was decided that on March 15, Prime Minister Modi will meet the farmers. Apart from this, a committee with legal guarantee will be formed on MSP before January 15.

The farmers were also assured that the cases registered during the agitation in Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh would be withdrawn by January 31. In Ferozepur, there was a meeting of State President of Kisan-Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee Satnam Singh Pannu with BJP’s Punjab election in-charge Gajendra Shekhawat. After which this decision was taken.

letter can be received by 11 o’clock

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Ferozepur at around one o’clock. He will land at Bhisiana airbase in Bathinda. From there you will go to Ferozepur. Earlier, in the meeting with the farmers, it was decided that a formal letter would also be given to them about these decisions by 11 o’clock. Farmer leaders will also wait for this. If they get the letter, then the PM’s protest will be postponed.

Farmers were opposing the rally

Farmers were protesting as soon as they came to know about the Prime Minister’s rally in Ferozepur. He said that the Center withdrew the agricultural laws but till now the rest of the demands have not been accepted. In which the biggest demands are to form a committee for legal guarantee on MSP and withdraw the cases filed against the farmers. The farmers said that first they should be decided, then the PM should come to Punjab. However, now there seems to be a consensus between the farmers and the central government on this.

SKM’s next decision on January 15

A meeting of the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) is to be held on January 15 regarding the pending demands with the central government. In which after the consent made by the Center, the progress made on them will be considered. It is possible that a decision will be taken before that to form the MSP committee.
