Warner was dropped from the captaincy mid-season this year following differences and defeats with the team management. Even the Australian superstar was dropped from the playing XI.
The way the SRH team management treated Warner has been a hot topic of discussion with his fans, now they have come behind their former captain and demanded that the franchise retain the star southpaw.
The Orange Army fan account shared a letter on Twitter demanding Warner’s retention for the next season. The letter tweeted with the hashtag #NoWarnerNoSRH is addressed to the owner of the Hyderabad team.
Fans have started a campaign expressing their desire to see Warner again in the orange jersey.
One fan tweeted how Warner led the team and was the main reason behind the franchise, even having fans in the first place. “A bad season and the management dropped him from the team which is the worst. He deserves better. One of the greatest overseas player deserves better,” the tweet read.

Another post had pictures of Warner, highlighting his runs in each season for SRH. “Should we bow down.? Ha he is [king] of SRH,” said another user tagging the Hyderabad-based IPL outfit.
David Warner is the fifth highest run-scorer in IPL history.
In 2011, when Sourav Ganguly went unsold at the auction, fans of the Indian cricket legend launched a similar campaign titled ‘No Dada No IPL’. Ganguly was bought by the Pune franchise that year in the middle of the season but his former team Kolkata Knight Riders did not buy him again.
