Detectives were seen today searching the home of a newlywed who was killed after falling from Arthur’s seat in Edinburgh.

Fauziah Jawed, 31, was pronounced dead on the scene of a Scottish landmark – an ancient volcano popular among mountain hikers because it is easy to measure – after a spooky plunge Thursday night.

It is believed that Ms Javed, who worked at Lyons Davidson Solicitors in Leeds, was in the early stages of pregnancy before the incident last week. Police are treating his death as suspicious.

In connection with the investigation, officers searched a house in Pudsey, West Yorkshire. A 27-year-old man has been arrested, confirming a statement from Police Scotland.

Ms Javed’s cousin has now issued a petition for ‘justice’ as he revealed that her death had left ‘a hole in our lives’.

Ms Javed’s father-in-law told The Sun that she married her son in December last year, but held a reception on Monday before leaving for Scotland for the holidays.

He who said Sun Online: ‘they were very happy.

The two were married in December last year and had a wedding party on Monday at Clayton’s Aakash restaurant.

‘Tuesday afternoon they went to Edinburgh for a holiday. It was just a vacation, not a honeymoon.’

In an online tribute, Zarif Zaf Latif wrote: ‘Fauziah, our precious niece passed away from us too soon. You have so many memories as a little girl. You will be greatly missed.

May Allah give you a special place in Paradise. I hope the angels take care of you until we meet again.’

A Police Scotland spokesman said in a statement: ‘We received a report that on Thursday 2 September at around 9 pm a woman had fallen from Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh.

Participated in ’emergency services’ including fire service and ambulance.

The 31-year-old woman died on the spot and her death is being treated as suspicious. A 27-year-old man has been arrested and interrogation is on.

According to The Mirror, A source said Ms Javed was involved in charity work before her wedding and celebrated her wedding reception on Sunday before heading to Scotland.

The source also claimed that she was in the early stages of pregnancy before her death.
