Priyamani’s marriage to Mustafa Raj ‘invalid’, alleged by his first wife
Family Man actress Suchi Iyer alias Priyamani’s marriage to Mustafa Raj has been challenged in court. Reportedly, Mustafa’s first wife Ayesha has challenged the marriage with a legal notice, which mentions that Mustafa has never legally divorced till date, hence his marriage with Priyamani invalid. Is. Mustafa and Ayesha separated in 2013 and married Priyamani in 2017. Ayesha has two children with Mustafa. Not only this, Ayesha has also filed a case of domestic violence against him.
Talking about the same, he told Etimes, “The allegations against me are false. I am paying Ayesha the maintenance of the children regularly. She is just trying to extort money from me.” Mustafa further said that Ayesha and he had been living separately since 2010 and got divorced in 2013. “I got married with Priyamani in 2017, why was Ayesha silent for so long?”
To this Ayesha said, “Mustafa is still married to me. The marriage of Mustafa and Priyamani is void. We have not even filed for divorce and while marrying Priyamani, she declared in the court that she is a bachelor.” As far as the delay is concerned, she said, “As a mother of two, what can you do? One tries to resolve it amicably, but when things don’t work out, there are some steps to be taken.” Is needed because you don’t want to. To waste time which he is now using against me.”
National Award winning actress Priyamani, originally known for her works in the South film industry, gained pan-India visibility with her roles in web shows like Manoj Bajpayee starrer The Family Man and Aateet.
