Faculty Development Program on Challenges Created by Covid | Mangaluru News – Times of India

Karwar: Online for a week Faculty Development Program (OFDP) was recently held at Government First Class College Ankola, Pujageri.
The program was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college in association with Guru Angad Dev Teaching Learning Center (GAD-TLC) functioning under Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission. Teacher’s Training of Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (PMMMNMTT) at SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi.
The aim of the program was to empower teachers in higher educational institutions to meet challenges The extraordinary situation created by COVID in the 21st century and mandated by the mutation of digital technology.
The multi-disciplinary training program was inaugurated by AK Bakshi, Vice Chancellor, PDM University, Haryana on 24 August. On the day of inauguration, the Director of Karnataka State Higher Academy, Dharwad, SM. Shivprasad delivered the keynote address.
SV Nayak, Principal, GFGC, Ankola, Jaswinder Singh, Principal, SGTB Khalsa College, and Vimal Rar, Project Head, Joint Director, GAD-TLC, delivered the opening remarks.
Resource persons from universities, colleges and government departments delivered lectures in technical sessions on various topics like NEP, NAAC, research tools and methodologies, self-assessment and new methods of e-governance.
About 200 people including professors, librarians, associate professors, research scholars and lecturers from different states participated in the training programme.
