Lifestyle product company Fab India has come under controversy over its festive campaign. There has been a lot of ruckus on Twitter about this campaign. Actually, the company has started a campaign named Jashn-e-Riwaj before Diwali. Regarding this, the company wrote in a tweet, ‘As we welcome the festival of love and light, FabIndia’s Jashn-e-Riyaz is a collection that beautifully pays tribute to Indian culture.’ An article related to this campaign was recently published in the fashion magazine Vogue.

very shameful statement by fab india
Many people did not like this campaign of Fab India. Expressing displeasure over the campaign, Mohandas Pai, the chairman of Manipal Goble Education, tweeted, ‘Very shameful statement by FabIndia on Diwali! It is a Hindu festival just as it is Christmas and Eid for others! Such a statement shows a deliberate attempt to destroy a religious festival!’

The use of foreign words is an attempt to destroy our heritage.
In the next tweet, Mohandas Pai replied to a user, ‘You don’t understand! Using foreign words for a Hindu festival is an attempt to snatch our heritage and destroy it! You can use any brand name after Diwali, but at the moment linking it to Diwali shows a perverted mindset!’

This willful misadventure will have to bear the financial loss.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) national president Tejashwi Surya also expressed his displeasure over this. Tejashwi said, ‘Deepawali is not a celebration. This willful misadventure will have to bear the financial loss. Apart from him, BJP UP spokesperson Prashant Umrao tweeted, ‘Fab India clothes are very expensive and become useless after washing, need to shift to other brands.’
