Extramarital affair: Paramour held for killing woman’s husband in Delhi’s Wazirabad area

New Delhi: A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend’s husband and then burning the body in Delhi’s Wazirabad area. The police gave this information on Saturday. Police said 27-year-old Munishuddin was having an extra-marital affair with the wife of deceased Rashid, adding that both the accused and the deceased were close friends. Rashid’s burnt body was found 90 percent charred on Monday at Ram Ghat in Wazirabad police station area. A paper cutter and a matchbox have also been recovered from the spot, police said.

The accused killed Rashid by stabbing him in the stomach and slitting his throat. He then burnt the body, a police officer said. When the CCTV footage of the area was searched, a person was seen with the deceased Rashid. He said that on a tip-off that the accused would come near Nala, Bawana Road, Rohini Sector-16, a trap was laid and accused Munishuddin was apprehended. The accused had studied only till class 6 and after that started working as a plumber. Police said that they used to visit each other’s houses, the accused Munishuddin and the wife of the deceased later developed an illicit relationship. The two conspired to eliminate Rashid as the relationship between him and his wife had soured as he used to drink and beat her. Police said that for the last 10-15 days she was pressurizing Munishuddin to get rid of Rashid.
