Expansion And Connectivity: Noida And Greater Noida To Welcome India’s Largest Railway Terminal

As Agro Haryana, New Delhi, Noida, and Greater Noida continue their rapid expansion, the demand for transportation services has naturally surged. In response to this, efforts are underway to bolster rail connectivity, with Noida and Greater Noida soon to receive the gift of a Multi-Modal Transport Hub.

An impressive investment of Rs 7 lakh crore is set to be made into Gautam Buddha Nagar. These two cities, which are a part of the National Capital Region, contribute significantly to Uttar Pradesh’s revenue and are renowned as well-planned industrial townships.

Currently, in Noida, major trains of the Northern Railway only make stops at Dadri, leading to overcrowding at Anand Vihar, Ghaziabad, and New Delhi stations.

The Greater Noida Authority, in collaboration with the Government of India, has now devised a concept plan to transform the Bodaki Railway Station of Greater Noida into a multi-modal transport hub. This hub will serve as a user-friendly regional railway terminal and will integrate metro and bus terminals. The entire project is anticipated to occupy an expansive area of 478 hectares and will encompass seven surrounding villages.

We have received word that the project has received the green light from the Central Government, and the land acquisition process is slated to commence shortly. The recent Global Investors Summit in Uttar Pradesh has injected fresh momentum into this initiative, as it witnessed substantial investments from industrialists in Noida and Greater Noida.
