Exclusive: ‘Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke’ actor Chandan Roy opens up on playing an IT expert in the show, says, ‘My role is to build…’

New Delhi: After performances in series like ‘Panchayat’ and ‘Hostel Daze’, actor Chandan Roy is back with Zee5 web series ‘Jambaz Hindustan Ke’, which is all set to premiere on January 26 this year. The show stars Regina Cassandra and Barun Sobti in lead roles, while Chandan plays a hacker in the film.

In an exclusive chat with us, Chandan talks about his character, the experience of playing the role of an IT specialist and what he learned from the role.

When asked about his character in the series, Chandan Roy said, “My character in the series ‘Jambaz Hindustan Ke’ is based on a hacker from a small village. The team created the character as per the specifications of the director and he Coming from a lower middle class family. In this project, my role is essentially to create or maintain a back lobby for our front-line armed forces.”

The actor also talked about his experience of playing the role of an IT specialist, “It was good as I had no prior experience playing this role, but still I learned a lot from the shoot. Additionally, I had some minor challenges with the character as I had to learn many new concepts and methods during the course of the project. Although, I have to admit it was an excellent acting lesson. An actor always portrays multiple personalities, and its uniqueness is a result of his or her earlier work. I consider myself lucky to have gotten an IT expert with a fresh perspective for this series.

When asked if he learned anything more about technology from this role, he said, “Like I said earlier, I had no idea, but I must admit that this endeavor has given me some new concepts and ideas. Teach the methods As an actor, it is his responsibility to portray the character with new nuances, and this series gave me the experience I was looking forward to.
