Infinix will launch its first 5G smartphone in India within January 2022 and it will cost less than Rs 20,000, Infinix India CEO Anish Kapoor told India Today Tech in an exclusive conversation. Kapoor suggested that the first Infinix 5G phone could cost less than Rs 20,000 despite the current market challenges. Infinix is a growing smartphone brand, but it has limited its portfolio to just 4G devices in India. The smartphone maker has so far targeted the budget smartphone category and is now planning to offer more options to the customers.
In an interview with India Today Tech in July, Kapoor spoke briefly about his plans to launch a 55-inch smart TV in India. At the time, the company was planning to introduce this model only in 2021 – a deadline it has missed. However, there are still plans to launch premium TVs within the first half of next year.
