CHENNAI: India is going to be in an environment of low growth, high inflation this year and probably in the long term as well. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran said on Wednesday.
“When we thought the pandemic was over, the global economy was doing well, and we were moving into a high growth environment, we see a supply chain crisis, a commodity price crisis, a war, and suddenly the global Growth falls down. ,” he said. Despite these factors, it is the most exciting time to start one’s career, especially in India.
The industry stalwart was speaking at the 59th convocation of IIT-Madras, where he was the chief guest. Chandrasekaran further said that sustainability and energy transition is an urgent and real need.
