Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor says the temptation to play the “most important and influential” characters never ends, but she is slowly trying to build a filmography that has good projects. The 32-year-old actress, who will next be seen in espionage thriller “Bellbottom”, says she is carving her own path to success.

“Everyone is going their own way in the industry. You can’t copy someone else’s career structure, follow their path and achieve success… I chose the best from what came to me and from that.” What works and what doesn’t is destiny Kapoor, who entered Bollywood with “Shuddh Desi Romance” in 2013, told PTI in an interview.

He further added that he has chosen to be a part of films that have given him a sense of ‘contentment’ in his career.

“You are not always lucky with films where everything is going to be 50:50 or your character is going to be the only driving force of a film. That’s never going to happen. There will be some films which will not be inspired by your character.”

In the upcoming film based on true events and directed by Ranjit M Tiwari, the actor plays the role of wife. Akshay KumarA K undercover agent codenamed ‘Belbottom’ is on a mission to rescue hostages from a hijacked Indian plane.

Kapoor said she knew she had a “small role” in “Bellbottom”, but decided to be a part of the film because she was attached to the film’s original premise. She said that she did not want to miss the opportunity to work with Kumar.

“There is a surprising element to the character which is not there in the trailer. She is very different from Tara from ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ or Shayra from ‘Befikre’. Also, it was interesting to pair with Akshay Kumar, she is a big megastar.

He said, “There are some stars who are loved by the masses and sharing the screen with them is a huge encouragement for an actor as you get to connect with his audience as well. And my father is a big fan of him, It’s really like that. I’ve made his wish come true.”

Kapoor is known for her work Ranveer SinghStarrer “Befikre” and Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff‘War’ said that he aims to make his presence felt in every film, no matter how long his role.

“I want to leave a presence in those times and scenes where you (only) have so much scope to perform. That’s the greed in every actor. I want to do the most important and impactful roles and there is no end to that greed. , “He said.

“Although, I really value what I get. But there are a lot of films that I watch and I wish I had got that film or had a chance to work with this director.”

The Delhi-born actress further added that she believes in the principle of “Kaam se Kaam Laata Hai”.

Citing the example of his last theatrical release “War”, Kapoor shared that both actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani and filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor offered him “Bellbottom” and “Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui” respectively after watching the 2019 blockbuster film .

In “War”, directed by Siddharth Anand, she played the role of Naina, a single mother who helps Roshan’s Kabir in his mission to spy on a terrorist.

“When you are working in some films you get more work because someone is watching you in that film. Sometimes a filmmaker connects when he sees your past work. This is how you bring your visibility.

“I don’t want to do everyday tamasha outside my house, it’s not the visibility I want. I will be part of a good story where I have a good part and make my presence felt,” she added This is a challenge to remember in a big star film.

Kapoor said he is yet to establish himself as a credible artiste and when that happens he hopes to work with directors on his wish list.
“There are so many films that I want to be a part of, but maybe the director doesn’t believe in me, maybe I’m not credible as an actor, I’m not a star, people don’t have that relativity or relationship with me. .

“It’s a business in the end, they want the star to pull the crowd. I don’t have that credibility as an actor yet. Whatever I’m getting, I’m also picking and choosing. I have a Nothing is coming on the plate,” she said.
