Arjun Tendulkar remains the talk of the town after his impressive performance with the ball for Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their IPL 2023 match on Tuesday night. Arjun, playing in his second match of IPL career, successfully defended 22 runs in the last over besides taking the wicket of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Impressed with his ‘nature’, the 23-year-old son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar Sunil Gavaskar claimed Arjun inherited it from his father.

MI skipper Rohit Sharma praised Arjun for having a clear mindset.
“Life has come a full circle. Arjun has been a part of this team for three years. He understands what he wants to do. He is also very confident. He is clear in his plans. He is trying to swing the new ball and bowl yorkers in the death,” Rohit said during the post-match presentation.
Meanwhile, Gavaskar feels that Rajasthan Royals will benefit more from playing in-form Shimron Hetmyer further up the batting order. Hetmyer looks to be the designated finisher for the franchise having recently scored a match-winning half-century while batting at No.3 against Gujarat Titans. 6.

“Shimron Hetmyer has been labeled as a finisher by Rajasthan Royals but I strongly believe that he should also be allowed to bat higher up the order. If he faces more balls, he can score more runs and play more match-winning knocks for his team,” Gavaskar said.
