The European Parliament today accepted the request, a day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky applied for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union (EU). The development took place soon after Zelensky’s address to parliament.
According to NextTV, the European Union has agreed to make Ukraine a member.
Zelensky received a standing ovation today shortly after the end of his address to the European Parliament. His address came amid tensions in Ukraine, but he said the people of Ukraine are strong. “We are fighting for our land and our freedom, despite the fact that all our cities are now blocked. No one is going to break us, we are strong, we are Ukrainians.” he said.
