Mexican-American actress-producer Salma Hayek has expressed her desire to visit India with her mother and daughter. However, there is one thing that is holding him back. In a recent interview, the Hollywood actress, who appears in Eternal, opened up about her dream of taking her mother and daughter on a trip to India.
Speaking to India Today, Salma said that though she wants to travel the country, she is very nervous as there are so many places and every time she asks someone if there are generations of girls, they have to take her journey. Where should I start? The 55-year-old actress admitted that she gets “confused” whenever she tries to make plans to visit India. However, Salma told the media outlet, “But the next time I get a break, maybe I will.”
With Eternal, the actress will play a superhero for the first time in her illustrious Hollywood career. The upcoming Marvel Studios film is directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Chloe Zhao and features an impressive ensemble cast including Richard Madden, Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Don Lee, Kit Harington and others. The film traces the story of ten superheroes named Eternals, who must come together after thousands of years and fight a common enemy called the goddesses.
Salma plays the role of Ajak, a comic character who was male in origin. Ajak is believed to be of the Eternal who brings wisdom and insight to a group of superheroes. Talking about her first superhero role, Salma told India Today, “It’s the best thing that could have happened to me because there is no better film than this.” The actress added, “If you’re going to be in a superhero film, Eternal is that.”
Salma Hayek also said that she would not have changed it for another superhero film and described it as a film that is not only entertaining but also very meaningful.
