Eternal Actor Kumail Nanjiani Got ‘Obsessed’ With His Weight, Says ‘It’s Not Great’

Pakistani-born actor-comedian Kumail Nanjiani has worked tirelessly to prepare for his role in the Marvel film ‘Eternal’, and he says the focus on his weight eventually turned unhealthy for him.

Nanjiani told Vulture: “I’ll tell you, man, it’s so easy to become obsessed with that number scale. The hard thing. It’s cheating. You get obsessed with it. I definitely have, and For me, it’s not great to weigh myself every day. I can tell you what my weight is today.”

A photo of Nanjiani’s torn physique went viral in 2019, and she confessed that her appearance had become “very important” to her at one point.

The actor said: “The way I look is very important to me, and so it was very difficult to hear a group of people confirming their deepest thoughts about themselves.”

Nanjiani recently said that he feels “less and less comfortable” talking about his body.

She has not enjoyed the investigation she has been under in recent years, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Nanjiani said: “I’ve found over the past year and a half that since I made that picture, I’m very uncomfortable talking about my body, and it’s become less and less comfortable.”

The “Silicon Valley” actor thought gaining muscle would improve his career prospects and create new “opportunities” within the acting industry.

He said: “I wanted a variety of opportunities. I wanted the industry to see me differently. With brown people, there are very specific roles that we used to get. Either we are scared or we are creating panic. These were the two options we had. Either I’m fixing your computer, or I’m planning something on the stock exchange.”
