bowlers Jasprit Bumrahhandjob Mohammed Shami And Mohammad Siraj took a star turn as India registered their third win at the Mecca Lord’s in 89 years as India beat England by 151 runs in a thrilling fifth day match in the second Test here on Monday.

Mohammed Shami (56 not out) and Jasprit Bumrah (34 not out) added an unbeaten 89 for the ninth wicket to help India set a challenging 272-run target for England. Bumrah and Siraj then handled the ball as India bowled the hosts out for 120 to post a memorable win and take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

1 Kohli now tops the list along with Kapil with the most wins by an Indian captain in England. His last win came in the 2018 Tour.

5 Wins for Kohli in SENA countries, the most by an Asian Test captain, surpassed Pakistan’s Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram (four each).

37 Victory for Kohli as India’s Test captain, which places him fourth on the all-time list behind Graeme Smith (53 wins), Ricky Ponting (48 wins), and Steve Waugh (41 wins). Kohli surpassed West Indies legend Clive Lloyd (36 wins).

39 Indian fast bowlers have now picked up wickets in the current tour of England. Of these, 19 wickets came in the second Test, which is the 10th instance where fast bowlers alone have taken more than 18 wickets in a match. Of these, 7 cases have come since 2018 and five of them have been won.
