An engineering student made an electric bicycle at a cost of just Rs 18,000. Hasan Sheikh, a resident of Sagardighi Gopalpur in Murshidabad district, is a student of ITI College. Once charged with an electric bicycle, a distance of 80 km can be covered. Hassan has made this bicycle himself.

From petrol to diesel to cooking gas, the prices are increasing day by day due to which the common people are getting disappointed. Keeping the environment in mind, Hasan made a battery-operated bicycle and placed it on the shelves. Petrol-diesel is causing serious damage to the environment. That’s why the government is promoting the use of electric bike or cycle instead of petrol and diesel. Keeping this in mind, the youth of Sagardighi made a fully battery operated cycle.
