Emraan Hashmi, formerly dubbed the ‘serial kisser’ of Bollywood, recently discussed his transition away from filming kissing scenes. In an interview, he also touched upon his wife’s perspective on the matter, revealing her initial concerns despite his efforts to alter his image. Hashmi expressed frustration over producers continuing to exploit his established persona despite his attempts to tone it down.
During a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Emraan Hashmi was questioned about his decision to cease filming ‘kiss scenes’ in movies.
“It’s the voice of my wife and I listen to that. I haven’t added any kissing scenes in my films. In fact, from the beginning I wanted to tone it down in films, but an image of mine was created and a lot of producers took advantage of that.” Emraan said.
“It became a staple thing to please the audience. When I see my films, I honestly feel that in some places those scenes weren’t required, but it was an awakening for an audience also. It was a lead for cinema, but I received the flak.” he added.

Regarding his wife, Parveen Shahani’s response to his ‘kissing scenes’, Emraan mentioned that she had been apprehensive about them at one point.
“Of course she did, but not anymore, because I don’t do those kinds of scenes anymore”, he added. Emraan then revealed that he had done a kissing scene in his upcoming series ‘Showtime. He continued, “She (His wife) hasn’t seen the show yet. So, she might feel worried after watching it.”
Turning to his professional endeavors, Emraan Hashmi recently appeared in ‘Tiger 3’, portraying an antagonist alongside Salman Khan. He is set to star in Karan Johar’s web series ‘Showtime’, portraying the role of a film producer. The series trailer was unveiled a few days ago.
Additionally, Emraan has been cast in Adivi Sesh’s movie ‘G2’, marking his highly anticipated Telugu debut. The film serves as a sequel to Adivi Sesh and Sobhita Dhulipala’s ‘Goodachari’.
