Eminem and Snoop Dogg transform into their bored Ape NXT avatars in new music video

Legendary rappers, Eminem and Snoop Dogg, are leading a group of artists involved in the world of Web3. Both the artists are the owners of NFT of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). Showcasing their Web3 efforts, Eminem and Snoop Dogg released their single titled From D2 The LBC on June 24. The official music video, which debuted at the annual Ape Fest held in New York, features ape figures on several occasions. The video is based on the concept of a hybrid cartoon/live action universe.

The video shows a recording of Eminem and Snoop Dogg in the studio, where Snoop, staying true to his character, is smoking a giant marijuana joint. The smoke causes Eminem to hallucinate and turn into an ape from time to time. The song is primarily based on the cities the two rappers live in — Detroit, Michigan and Long Beach, California — and of course, marijuana.

Eminem and Snoop Dogg’s collaboration comes after a hiatus of 22 years. The last time two rappers shared a track was in 2000. Eminem and Snoop Dogg also went through beef in 2020 when Eminem released his track Zeus. The cast reconciled in 2021, as evidenced by Eminem in his track Killer (remix).

Announcing the release, Eminem tweeted, “It took a long time to reunite with Snoop Dogg – you know we had to make a movie!”

Eminem is a bore app nft holder and also shows it through his twitter dp. Snoop Dogg is also the owner of several BAYC and Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC) NFTs.

Snoop Dogg also released his album BODR (Back on Death Row) in February 2022 and announced his plans to make the album’s label NFT.

Ape Fest is an annual festival organized for BAYC and MAYC owners and enthusiasts. This year, many other artists will join in, including LCD Soundsystem, Lil Wayne and The Roots.
