Elvish Yadav gets arrested

Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav has been arrested by Noida Police.

Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav has been arrested by Noida Police in a snake poisoning case. Earlier last year, the Noida Police registered an FIR in Sector 39, and today he was called for questioning, after which he was arrested. Elvish will be presented in court at some time.

An official tweet by ANI on X read, “Noida Police arrests YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav. He will be presented in the Court today: DCP Noida Vidya Sagar Mishra. Further details awaited.”

In early November, it was reported that raids were conducted in Noida Sector 49, and five cobra snakes were recovered from the raid. It was revealed that nine other snakes were also rescued in the raid, while snake venom was also found at the spot. In the investigations that followed, the people who were arrested took the name of social media influencer and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav.

In February, police officials revealed that the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report found venom of cobra and krait species of snakes in samples seized from the party.

In a video that went viral on social media at the time, Elvish addressed the news coverage around the development in the snake venom case. He can be heard saying, “Elvish Yadav, kaha tha rave party mein? Police ne toh nahi batayi. Plice ko toh nahi mila, main toh Bombay tha. PFA Google karoge toh samaj aa jayega tumhe kya rule hai. kisi bhi normal aadmi pe jhootha case lagate hai aur fir paise maangte hai usse case vapas lene ke liye. Ye prove kar ke dikha do ki main vaha tha aur meri rave party thi, nanga hokar naachunga main.”

Politician and animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi previously accused the YouTuber of supplying snake venom to rave parties in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Elvish was stopped at a checkpost in Rajasthan’s Kota in connection with the case recently but was released later.

Elvish was also questioned on November 7, 2023, in connection to the case. During his interrogation, Yadav claimed that snakes for the alleged rave party in Noida were supplied by singer Fazilpuria. A video of the YouTuber holding snakes also went viral on social media. However, Fazilpuria later clarified that the viral video was from one of his album shoots.

“The reason why my name has come up is because of the viral video in which Elvish is seen with a snake around his neck. Maybe the police asked him about this, and he might have told them that it was from Fazil Bhai’s album shoot,” Fazilpuria told India Today.

“Actually, I had released a video two days ago in which I said that this video was from my album shoot. This has nothing to do with any rave party. Along with Elvish, many other singers from Haryana were also included in this video. It was shot in my village, Fazilpur, in Gurgaon. There was a building there in which the entire set was installed. The song ’32 Bore’ was released six months ago,” the singer added.

Later, Elvish issued a video clarification and claimed that all allegations against him were baseless and devoid of proof. “Maine subah utha aur dekha kaise kaise news phail rahi hai mere khilaaf media mein. Jitne arop mere upar lage hai sab bebuniyad hai, fake hai aur ek percent bhi mein sachhai hai nehi hai,” he said and further threatened to file a defamation case against Maneka Gandhi.
