Elon Musk Replies To ‘Lizard Boy’ Tweet From Parody Twitter Account, Response Goes Viral

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have been in the ring since the launch of Meta’s new text-based platform Threads. If reports are to be believed then the fight between the two can turn into a legal battle as well. Apart from this, the new app has also fueled the buzz of a fight between the two CEOs. It is not surprising that social media is now flooded with users who are taking sides of one tech giant or the other. Adding to the list of such comments on social media, a parody account of Elon Musk mentioned the issue which has now caught the attention of Elon Musk.

The tweet read, “I spent $44 billion for this app and now Lizard Boy decided to copy and paste. It’s private now. See you in the cage, Zak.” The comment addresses the similarities between Threads and Twitter. In addition, the tweet also referred to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg as ‘lizard boy’, referring to the cage fight discussion.

Elon Musk, who is very active on Twitter, caught sight of this comment and addressed it in a lighter vein. Musk responded to the parody account’s tweet in his usual manner, saying, “So many people think this account is mine.” He also added a side-eye emoji with his comment.

Elon Musk raised this topic for the first time on Twitter a few days ago and said that he is ready for a “cage fight” with Mark Zuckerberg. As soon as Zuckerberg caught sight of the tweet, he posted a response on Instagram. Zuckerberg posted a picture of Musk’s tweet on his Instagram account and captioned it, “Send me the location.”

Since being shared a few hours ago, Elon Musk’s response has garnered a lot of attention. It has been watched by more than 57 lakh people so far and this figure is only increasing. Netizens have also reacted to this share in various ways.

The first step in an acrimonious legal battle between the two social media giants is a possible lawsuit filed by Twitter against Meta Platforms alleging Meta Platforms stole trade secrets to build its new microblogging platform. Legal professionals claim that even then Twitter would face major hurdles in bringing such a lawsuit.

Twitter reportedly accused Meta of using its trade secrets when building its latest social media platform, Threads, in a letter sent on Wednesday. Twitter asked Meta to stop using classified information in the letter.
