Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta, while campaigning in Baljit Nagar ward, claimed that the party is going to win 180 out of 250 wards in the MCD elections.

AAP leader Raghav Chadha on Sunday said that his party will win more than 230 out of 250 seats in the upcoming Delhi MCD elections.

Meanwhile, the battle for Manipuri has intensified in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav on Sunday claimed that the BJP-led administration would crack down on local party leaders ahead of the Mainpuri bypoll and asked them to “not sleep in their houses” the night before polling. I want to tell my young colleagues and SP leaders that on 4th December the administration will take strict action against you. Do not sleep in your homes on 4th December, so that no one can touch you on 5th December.

Addressing an election meeting at Ahirawa village in Bhogaon assembly constituency, he said, “You go and cast your vote and on December 6, the administration will disappear from here.”

In Manipuri, considered a Samajwadi Party bastion, the contest is between Dimple Yadav, daughter-in-law of late Mulayam Singh Yadav, and Raghunath Shakya of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Voting will be held in Mainpuri on December 5 and results will come on December 8.
