‘Ek Villain Returns’ box office collection Day 2: Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria’s film remains steady; does surprisingly well overseas – Times of India

Mohit Suri’s psychological action crime thriller ‘Ek Villain Returns’ had a decent second day. The Arjun Kapoor, Tara Sutaria, John Abraham and Disha Patani starrer that opened to positive reviews, collected around Rs 7 crore nett, reports Box Office India. There was minimal growth, but the numbers still remain decent. While the business from multiplexes saw about 10% jump, circuits like UP witnessed a drop. The collections in Delhi still remain good despite a drop in UP, the report further stated. The total collection of the film stands at Rs 13.75 crore nett.

The film is expected to have some growth on Sunday in the mass pockets. But Monday will be the true test which will determine the fate of the film at the domestic box office.

Surprisingly, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ has done very well overseas. The film raked in over $325k on day 1 including some business in Gulf from Thursday, the report further stated. In United Kingdom, the film collected £40k on day 1 which was even better than ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ at £37k and almost as good as ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ at £48k.
