Kabir Sadanand’s Fugly has completed eight years of release. Fugly, controlled by Akshay Kumar’s production house, was released on 13 June 2014. The film was a comedy-drama and featured stars like Kiara Advani, Jimmy Shergill, Mohit Marwah and boxer-turned-actor Vijender Singh.
Although Fugly did not do well at the box office, the film created a lot of buzz at the time of its release. The title song of the film was special, because Akshay Kumar And Salman Khan Made a special appearance in it.
Rare double innings of Akshay Kumar:
Akshay is known for not doing double shifts in the industry. However, the actor made an exception for this film and did a rare double shift. In the first half of the day, Akshay shot for his film Gabbar in Pune. The actors then went on to shoot the title song of Fugly in the second half of the day. The title song was shot at Mehboob Studio in Bandra.

Fugly cast showcases exciting young talent, including Kiara Advani and Vijender Singh. Kiara made her acting debut with this film. Fugly was also the debut film of Olympic champion Vijender Singh. The film, directed by Kabir Sadanand, revolves around the lives of four close friends against a corrupt police officer. After Fugly, Kiara starred in films like MS Dhoni, Machine and Shershaah.
On the work front, Kiara last featured in Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The horror comedy has done extremely well at the box office and emerged as the biggest blockbuster of the year. The 29-year-old actor will next be seen in Varun Dhawan’s film Jag Jug Jio.
