Teenage skin care is important. This needs to be done with extra care as the skin is very sensitive at this age. With the beauty industry rolling out so many products for different purposes, it is only normal for young girls to get influenced by it. However, you don’t need different serum mixes and face creams to get a great look.

During adolescence, the skin often becomes prone to acne and begins to secrete oil. Hence, it is essential to have a simple skincare routine that requires minimal products. The main goal is to have healthy skin, and if you start using too many products at once, your skin may not respond effectively to them and may cause a host of other problems. So it is advisable to start slowly and steadily.

Here are some of the best and effective skincare tips for teenagers to follow.

  1. Pure
    Start with cleansing your skin regularly keeping in mind the skin type. For dry skin, it is recommended to use a gentle cleanser and if you have acne-prone skin, use an oil-free or cleanser containing salicylic acid.

    Teens often struggle with excess sebum production through the enlarged pores of their skin. Toning is very important to reduce it. It shrinks pores and controls sebum production. It also helps maintain the pH balance of the skin and protects it from pollutants and impurities. Use the toner twice a day for effective results.

    Apply moisturizer everywhere from your toes to your face. It hydrates the skin and brings a natural glow to it. As dry skin becomes scaly, it begins to look dull and patches develop. However, a moisturizer will protect your skin from this. If your skin is oily then apply it with light hands and if you have dry skin then apply it twice a day.

    People often leave sunscreen out of their skincare routine, especially teens, because it doesn’t seem that important. But, in fact, it is one of the essential products you need. So always apply sunscreen when you step out. It protects your skin from sunburn, premature aging and excessive dehydration. Also, use a sunscreen with at least 7 percent zinc oxide and SPF 30 or higher.

    Lip balm is equally important to nourish your lips. Your lips need extra care and it is essential to apply lip balm regularly, especially in the morning and at night, to keep them properly hydrated.

These skincare steps are important for healthy and hydrated skin. Follow a regular daily skincare routine no matter how tired or fatigued you are.
