Earthquake of magnitude 2.5 hits Delhi

New Delhi: The National Center for Seismology said that an earthquake of magnitude 2.5 hit Delhi on Tuesday (November 29, 2022) night. The Indian government’s nodal agency that monitors earthquake activities in the country said the epicenter was eight km west of New Delhi.

This happened at 9.30 pm.

The National Center for Seismology said, “The depth of the earthquake was 5 km below the ground.”

Earlier this month, strong tremors were felt in parts of Delhi-NCR after a 5.4 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, about 100 km east-southeast of Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at Bajhang, 460 km west of Kathmandu.

Three days after a 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, three days after six people were killed in the neighboring country, panic-stricken people came out of their homes in the evening.
