An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit Nagaon in Assam on Sunday evening, the National Center for Seismology informed. The earthquake occurred at 4:18 p.m., NCS.

“An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Nagaon, Assam at 4:18 pm today,” the NCS said on Twitter.

Earlier this month, an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 hit Ukhrul in Manipur, informed the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The NCS said that the earthquake occurred on February 4 at 6.14 am.
