The first look of Telugu star Nani’s upcoming film Dussehra is out, much to the delight of ‘Natural Star’ fans. The makers of the Srikant Odella directorial released the first look of Nani in a video titled Spark of Dussehra. In the video, the actor is seen completely transformed wearing lungi, banyan and an open shirt, with two bottles of liquor hanging from his waist.
In the video, he along with a few others is also seen passing through coal mines for the company and lighting beedis from a fire pit. With his ripped beard and hair, Nani has stunned fans with his transformation from man-eater to this rugged and rustic look.
Many are also wondering whether the film is in the same territory as Allu Arjun’s latest blockbuster Pushpa or Yash’s Kannada film KGF. Nani’s menacing look and immaculate presence reminded a section of the audience of Pushpa’s ‘desi’ avatar of Allu Arjun, which revolved around red sandalwood smuggling.
Dussehra has been directed by debutant Srikant Odella and is touted to be a game-changer for him. The action drama stars Keerthy Suresh, who won a National Award for her work in Mahanati. She previously starred opposite Nani in Nenu Local, which did well at the box office. The cast also includes Sai Kumar, Samuthirakani and Zarina Wahab.
These days Nani is busy with back-to-back releases. The actor was praised for his work in his last film Shyam Singha Roy, playing the role of a filmmaker who is the reincarnation of a great writer. With a mix of Telugu and Bengali cultures, Shyam Singha Roy also starred Sai Pallavi, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma and Madonna Sebastian.
Nani will next be directed by Vivek Atreya Anth Sundaraniki! will appear in It starred Malayalam actress Nazaria Nazim as the leading lady in her Tollywood debut.
