Pop-up ads can be annoying so using this web browser can be your best option to avoid seeing them on the screen.

DuckDuckGo has announced a new feature that will block one of the most common pop-ups web users face – “Sign in with Google”.

As TechRadar reports, the company says that sites like Reddit often present this Google pop-up, usually on loading a web page for the first time.

It claims users will be “protected from these disruptive and confusing pop-ups” with its updated mobile app or Firefox, Chrome, Brave and Edge extensions to provide a “cleaner experience and more privacy”.

However, according to DuckDuckGo, it does more than just remove annoying pop-ups.

Furthermore, the company explained, allowing Google to link your account with browsing history is “another way for Google to track users”, according to the report.

The update is available now on DuckDuckGo for Android, iOS, and Mac, as well as extensions for Firefox, Chrome, Brave, and Microsoft Edge.

Last year, DuckDuckGo slammed the new ad tracking method by Google, saying that it is bad for privacy and puts users into a group based on their browsing history, and any website using that group ID to target and Get them to fingerprint you.

Google has announced FLoC (Federated Learning of Cohorts) technology to provide a more privacy-focused way to track users and serve them ads.
